Reflection

This new world I have entered filled with

a different kind of life

New beginnings don't feel like
new beginnings

So far from what I know yet
where I'm meant to be

I take comfort in the fact that
You are with me

This time of reflection to be used to
conquer fears

Of what's supposed to be

Mean People

Why do people feel the need to
Criticize?
Because you do not look like or act
Like them?

They don't know you
Don't care to

Sticks and stones may break your bones
But words DO hurt you

Desire

This desire to please
To put a smile on ones face overwhelms me sometimes
Thats how I know its a Gift

Fall,
Swirling leaves
Hot coffee on a cool morning
Rain
Thanksgiving

Slowly turning

Winter,
Empty branches
Socks on a tiled floor
Snow
Christmas

Courage

Hundreds of miles apart now
Words unspoken
I asked of God today to throw me some encouragement
You called, we spoke
You're brave enough now to bait me
Im brave enough to respond
I believe I received my encouragement
